Ultimate Medical Academy is institutionally accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES.org), a national accrediting agency that is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education. Though UMA is not a university or college, we offer online diplomas or degrees in 13 healthcare fields some of which offer on-site externships/practicums and certification preparation — all intended to put you in a position to pursue a healthcare career after graduation.
At UMA, tuition covers more than just your courses. It also includes books, software, and student services like one-on-one academic support, job search assistance, interview coaching, and more. We also have Student Finance advisors who can help you understand financial aid options if you qualify. How long it takes to complete an associate degree or diploma in one of UMA's allied healthcare programs vary Completing one of our campus diploma programs could take 15 months or more whereas our shortest diploma program is 2 months or more. We recommend taking a look at each program to find which one is a good fit for you.3
For starters, the healthcare field is growing. The healthcare industry is projected to have 1.8 million job openings each year, on average, from 2022-2032.2 And while some positions you may find can include on-the-job training, others may require completion from a four-year college program, certification, training, or some level of education in the field. Having a degree or diploma in a healthcare field can show that you already have a certain level of background knowledge and education needed for landing a position.
