Frequently Asked Questions

Ultimate Medical Academy is institutionally accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES.org), a national accrediting agency that is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.

Though UMA is not a university or college, we offer online diplomas and degrees in the allied healthcare field, some of which offer on-site externships/practicums and certification preparation — all intended to put you in a position to pursue a healthcare career after graduation.

At UMA, tuition covers more than just your courses. It also includes books, software, and student services like one-on-one academic support, job search assistance, interview coaching, and more. We also have Student Finance advisors who can help you understand financial aid options if you qualify. To learn more about tuition at Ultimate Medical Academy, head to our Tuition page.

For starters, the healthcare field is growing. The healthcare industry is projected to have 1.8 million job openings each year, on average, from 2022-2032.1 And while some positions you may find may include on-the-job training, others may require completion from a four-year college program, certification, training, or some level of education in the field.

Having a degree or diploma in a healthcare field can show that you already have a certain level of background knowledge and education needed for landing a position.

How long it takes to complete an associate degree in one of UMA Online’s allied healthcare programs varies. Each associate degree program at UMA will take 18 months or more to complete.2

At UMA, standardized testing is not required for enrollment. That means you don’t need to take the SAT, GMAT, GRE, or ACT.3

While standardized testing isn't required for enrollment, some requirements consist of a valid high school diploma or equivalent. In addition, students need to be proficient in verbal and written English since all programs are conducted in the English. Please reach out to our Admissions team who can provide more information about these and additional requirements. You can also read our catalog for more info.
