Ultimate Medical Academy Celebrates 30 Years of Equipping Learners for Success

In 1994, Ultimate Medical Academy (UMA) began operating in Clearwater, Florida, as Ultimate Learning Center, Inc. The first social media sites had not yet launched and smartphones as we know them today did not exist. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to education and successful student outcomes has remained steadfast.

UMA’s mission is to equip and empower students to excel in healthcare careers. That is the same today as it was yesterday and will be tomorrow. We put learners on the path to achieving their dreams. And just like the learners who have passed through our doors, we have come a long way over the past 30 years.

Today, UMA is a healthcare educational institution with a national presence that believes in the ripple effect of care. UMA cares for team members, and our team members care for students, who go on to care for patients and customers through our employer partners in their communities.

We extend that care to our more than 15,000 current students and over 90,000 alumni. Our alumni are working across the country filling vital healthcare roles. The next time you stop into a doctor’s office or visit an urgent care clinic, you may be placed in the caring hands of a UMA graduate.

The world needs more of these caring hands. The healthcare field projects to have 1.8 million job openings each year, on average, from 2022 to 2032. UMA is well-positioned to meet our mission and help solve the gap in healthcare talent. We have more than 2,500 team members dedicated to student success and alumni outcomes, and they’re ready to help you if a healthcare career is something you are considering.

With 30 years of experience to rely on, we are planning for a future where we will continue to adapt to the needs of learners, partners, and team members along the way. We are proud of what we have accomplished, but our work is far from finished.
